Pre-Law Program with Stetson Law School
The Pre-Law Program at Stetson University is made possible through a special relationship with the DeLand campus and Stetson University's College of Law. The Pre-Law Program permits students to complete three years of undergraduate work and then enroll in Stetson's College of Law. To be eligible, a student must complete at least 90 credit hours at the DeLand campus, be in the 85 percentile of the class after three years of undergraduate education (in 2003, that equaled a cumulative grade point average of about 3.6), and achieve a minimum score on the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) at the 75 percentile. Students receive their baccalaureate degree after the first year at Stetson University's College of Law upon completing 120 total credit hours accumulated at Stetson University, DeLand, and Stetson University's College of Law. Other Stetson students are granted automatic admission into the Stetson University College of Law when they complete a baccalaureate degree with at least 105 of their 120 credit hours earned at the DeLand campus and a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.1 and a minimum score on the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) at the 60 percentile.
