ENGLISH DEPARTMENT AWARD FOR WRITING
C. Carter Colwell Award for Best Researched Essay
The award is given to the best researched essay written for an English course. To be eligible for this award, a student needs senior standing. Please submit only one essay for consideration.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
To submit, please provide the work to be judged with two cover sheets: one with your name, student ID #, email address, phone number, and the award title you are submitting for; and one with your student id# and the award title you are submitting for; (the name and student ID # should appear on no other pages of the submission.) Students' work is judged anonymously.
All submissions are due in the English Department Office by March 28, 2013 at 3pm

Academy of American Poets
Student Poetry Prize - Cash Award & One Year Membership to the Academy of American Poets
TO ENTER:
Please submit three (3) poems to the English Dept. Office in Flagler Hall room 224 by TBD at 3pm. All student poets are eligible!
Please include two (2) cover sheets: one with title and writer's student id# only and one with title, writer's student id#, name, email address, phone number and home (permanent) address.

2013 Sullivan Awards in Creative Writing
Genre: Fiction, Poetry, Creative Non-Fiction, Playwriting/Screenwriting
Writers may submit one entry in each genre. All entries should arrive with two (2) cover sheets: one with title, genre, and writer's student id# only and one with title, genre, writer's student id#, name, email address and phone number by March 28, 2013 at 3:00pm in the English Dept. Office, room 224 Flagler Hall.
