In the past five years, there has been an extraordinary surge of interest in single-sex public education. Beginning in 2001 Stetson through the work of the Nina B Hollis Institute and its Professional School Network has supported the single gender initiatives at Woodward Elementary School. The Nina B Hollis Institute has been responsible for providing on-going professional development and maintains the project data. We are currently in negotiation with the National Association for Single Sex Public Elementary Schools to become their partner university.
