Whether you wish to be an industrial or academic chemist,
or prefer a career in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, or
other health-related specialty, chemistry is good preparation.
A majority of Stetson chemistry graduates go on to attend a medical or
other health-related professional school, but many pursue advanced degrees in
chemistry and then enter teaching or chemical research positions. Others enter
government and industry directly, with the B.S. degree, working in areas such
as quality control, environmental analysis, and chemical sales. Chemists are
in demand, and salaries are good.
