The American Studies faculty has years of
experience in teaching and research in American culture. Trained at Brown,
Harvard, Georgetown, and the College of William and Mary, they are at Stetson
because they love to teach. Like the field of American Studies, their
individual interests are varied, ranging from American history and politics to
woman's studies, religious studies, Africana studies, popular culture,
journalism, literature, history of science, and environmental studies. They
are united by their desire to help their students achieve a broad
understanding of American life. In addition to the daily interactions with
students in the classroom, the faculty also works with students on special
projects. See our Faculty/Student
Collaborations.
