Who are the Wellness Interns?
Wellness Interns are Stetson's premiere peer education group, educating students on healthy lifestyles and strong decision making skills. Wellness Interns are trained certified peer educators through the BACCHUS Network, volunteering their time to actively promote healthy behaviors to fellow students. Health topics include healthy relationship, alcohol and other drugs, sexual health, sexual assault prevention, nutrition, exercise, and stress & sleep management. Through fun, interactive, and educational programs Wellness Interns strive to educate student on critical components to lead to a success college experience.
Wellness Wednesdays
Bi-weekly informational appearances in the Quad and/or CUB, using motivational interviewing techniques to discuss various health topics. Topics may include Healthy Relationships, exercise, Being an Empowered Bystander, and a plethora of other health concerns.

Who are the Wellness Interns?

Haleigh Fecteau - I am a senior Wellness Intern, majoring in Elementary Education and minoring in Religious Studies. I am from Fort Lauderdale, FL, but spend a lot of time at my other home in Hampton Beach, NH. I am the vice president of Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society, and I am a Tobacco Peer Educator. I enjoy running, surfing, practicing yoga, and playing soccer. I am a big health food junkie, and love learning about nutrition and exercise.

D’Andra Williams - born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica journeyed to Stetson University in search of a wider range of opportunities. She is a senior majoring in Integrative Health Sciences, but enjoys taking communication and theatre courses. As a lover of oral health, she aspires to become a Dentist, hopefully specializing in Orthodontics. In addition to dentistry, D’Andra is also fascinated with holistic health, spending some of her free time researching and discussing alternative ways to approach health care. This jovial and goal driven individual hopes her future efforts in providing holistic oral health care to her patients will have a positive effect on the world by improving self-esteems and confidence one smile at a time.

Melissa Doreus - I am a Health and Wellness Intern who specializes in safe sexual health practices. I am also a Tobacco Peer Educator and Chair of the Multicultural Student Council. I am a senior Humanities major. I enjoy reading and watching movies. I have two favorite colors and love puppies.

Kassie Ledoux - I am a Wellness Intern and Tobacco Peer Educator. I came to Stetson in 2011 as a freshman and am studying Molecular Biology as a pre-med student. My dream is to become a Cardiologist and to raise awareness about congenital heart defects. During my free time I enjoy going to the beach with friends, photographing/participating in impromptu photo-shoots, or listening to music to relax.

Alice Le - I'm a senior majoring in music and pre-med. One of my greatest passions is yoga. As a yoga instructor, I strive to promote physical strength and compassionate hearts. Always learning, always growing, I continue to study yoga each week in New Smyrna Beach. As a Bonner, I volunteer for the DeLand High School Chorus as the rehearsal accompanist and voice lessons coordinator.

Paul Carey - a senior class of 2014 with a major in Integrative Health Science and a minor in Education. I have been a Wellness Intern since the Spring of 2011, as well as a Tobacco Peer Educator since that time. Outside of Wellness Interns, I am very active in my fraternity Delta Sigma Phi, including other organizations such as Student Government Association, NUFP Fellow, a Res Life Work Study, FOCUS Leader, and a Certified Peer Educator. My reason for becoming a Wellness Intern was to educate people about overall wellness while maintain good wellness will help others be a balanced and brighter individual. Fun Fact: I can recite every line in Mean Girls and coffee is my savior
