Open Office Hours
During open office hours, our entire staff relocates to a more central location on campus. Our goal with this initiative is to offer a flexible method of delivering our services in a customer-focused way. By meeting with us face-to-face, you get the advantage of having our undivided attention, and can immediately ask any follow-up questions that might occur to you to ensure that you come away understanding a topic as thoroughly as possible.
This is also a great opportunity for you to get any web-related work you might have done. Whether it's updating your website, sending out social media updates or updating an online form, we're here to help!
Open office hours are held twice weekly during every business week of the year:
- Tuesdays from 2 to 3 p.m. in duPont-Ball Library room 15
- Thursdays from 9 to 10 a.m. in Elizabeth Hall room 205
We offer regular monthly workshops as part of Stetson University Marketing's outreach initiatives. Upcoming dates and topics include:
- October 2014- email marketing
- February 2015- content management
To help us plan, please RSVP by email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone to 386-822-8920 if you plan on attending one or more workshops.
In addition to the training topics outlined below, we also offer training on a wide variety of other topics. If you'd like training on a topic not listed below, please email email@example.com to request training. Our training sessions can be scheduled one-on-one or for groups of any size. When you request training, be sure to outline your needs and we'll be glad to accommodate them!
All users require training in using WebGarage before they'll be allowed to use it. Though we allow training to be conducted by someone in your department, we prefer that you schedule a training session with Web Editor Joe Sutta, as in addition to training in how to use WebGarage, you'll also receive an overview of how to prepare great web content and have the opportunity to receive in-depth answers to your questions.
WebGarage training sessions are offered on an as-needed basis. To request training, complete and submit the Web Services Request form; in the "Request Details" field, please specify:
- The website(s) you'll need be managing
- Your supervisor's name and email address
If you handle social media for your office, department or organization, it's highly recommended that you attend a social media training session with our Interactive Marketing Manager Gerri Bauer. These sessions explain how to use social media to drive engagement and reach your audience in new and exciting ways. A basic understanding of how to use common social media channels is assumed, though more basic training can be included.

Email marketing is so much more than sending out a mass email (or "blast," in the email marketing parlance) to a blind list of all users, everywhere. To be effective, email-based marketing should be highly relevant and engaging to your target audience, have a clear call to action, and be usable in common email clients and on common platforms. But this is just the tip of the iceberg! Our emailing marketing training sessions cover a wide range of topics, including: different systems available for email marketing, how to formulate a winning blast, and how to increase the effectiveness of your blasts and campaigns.
