Stetson University

Campus Life and Student Success

Senior Week

Near the end of every spring semester, Stetson University dedicates an entire week to the celebration of the outgoing class. If you're graduating in December, don't worry -- you're invited to participate as well! Below is the 2014 Senior Week schedule. Be sure to stay tuned to this website and to the Student Development & Campus Vibrancy Facebook page for contests and the latest details. #HatterGrad

April 7: President's Toast

5 p.m. - President's Garden

For years, you've driven by President Libby's house and wondered what it's like inside. We hear the columns are filled with John B.'s stash of gold coins... OK, seriously, at this kick-off event, the university's president offers encouraging remarks to the senior class and offers a real champagne toast! Seniors also get to keep their champagne flute as a gift. Free refreshments will be served as well, so come hungry.

April 8: Baseball Game

6:30 p.m. - Melching Field

You can't graduate without going to one more game! We're serving up FREE Chipotle (limited supply) in the president's box. Cheer on the Hatters against our cross-town rivals, Bethune-Cookman College. Admission is free.

April 9: Stetson Behind the Scenes

7 to 9 p.m. - Meet at CUB steps

You got the formal tour when you were a freshman. Now see Stetson University from a whole new angle. Ever wonder how to get to the attic of Elizabeth Hall? What about the Sage basement? See the DeLand campus as you've never seen it before.

April 10: Night Out

9 p.m. to 2 a.m. - Cafe DaVinci

Save the polar ice caps and walk, or take the trolley from the CUB circle for a free ride (running from 9 p.m. until 2:30 a.m.). Meet at Cafe DaVinci to pick up a free senior stein that gives you access to all the night's specials. Feel free to invite faculty and staff!

April 11: Sign Out

3 to 7 p.m. - Lynn Business Center Roof

Seniors line up and climb to the top of the Lynn Business Center, take pictures, hang out, enjoy the view and sign the Book of Seniors. The "Book of Seniors" is a large, leather-bound book where the signatures of outgoing seniors are kept. Students are allowed to write whatever they like - draw pictures, write quotes, etc. The book is kept and passed down each year to the next class. Most students write encouraging words to future graduating classes. Show up later and watch the sun set across campus!

April 12: Skydiving

All Day - Skydive DeLand

You can't leave the "Skydiving Capital of the World" without launching out of an airplane at least once, right? We've booked a limited number of spots for Stetson University students at a ridiculous rate. Usually the cost is around $150, but all you need to do is donate $50 to the Senior Class Gift! Be sure to email John Kahle at prior to donating to confirm remaining space. First come, first serve! You won't find a better skydiving deal anywhere!
