The Social Justice Leadership Retreat (SJLR) is a 2-day immersion aimed at empowering students. This experience is open to Stetson students who want to understand systems of oppression, privilege, identity development, and take action to create a more fair and just world.

The SJLR will occur in Altamonte Springs, FL from 8AM on Saturday, April 20th until 6PM Sunday April 21st. Participants will have the opportunity to learn, explore, and reflect on issues of social justice along with their peers. They will also have the opportunity to explore their own identities and backgrounds while connecting with other students. Students will work in small teams and with the full group for a variety of interactive activities and discussions followed by self-reflection. The cost is free to students and all meals are included*.

*Please note: If an individual registers and does not attend, that person will be charged $30. This charge is to prevent cancellations and to cover the amount invested in students attending future SJLRs.
