Market Day for Outside Vendors
Every month, Student Development and Campus Vibrancy welcomes outside vendors to our campus.
Since only Stetson registered student organizations, departments, and offices are allowed to table and advertise on campus, Market Day provides a unique opportunity for outside vendors to connect with Stetson University's vast community of students, faculty and staff. By donating $35 to our Student Conference Grant, local businesses and organizations have the opportunity to showcase their products and services on campus.

- Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (setup begins at 9:30 a.m.)
- Location: In front of the Carlton Union Building
- Who should participate? Merchants from Volusia County and the Stetson University community
- Price: $35 donation for outside vendors; free for students, faculty and staff (all donations help fund our Student Conference Grant that allows students to attend different types of leadership conferences)
Vendors who sign up for Market Day will set up in front of the Carlton Union Building to showcase their business during the campus's most active time. In addition, all vendor participation fees will go towards our Student Conference Grant designed to make it possible for students to attend national conferences.
Requirements to Participate
To participate, vendors must do the following:
- Read and fill out a policies and procedures form
- Fill out a merchant form
- Pay a $35 location fee (cash or check only)
- Present a certificate of insurance
All forms must be received by Student Development and Campus Vibrancy at least two weeks prior to participating in a Market Day event. No tables or chairs will be provided, unless requested.

The Office of Student Development and Campus Vibrancy is proud to sponsor the Market Day Grant, which allows Stetson University student organizations the opportunity to send members to local or national leadership conferences. The grant is funded by the fees collected from outside merchants who participate in Market Day at Stetson University. Not only does this help our students develop as leaders, but it also provides an opportunity for partnership between the university and local vendors.
How is the Student Conference Grant Used?
A panel of faculty and students will choose the recipients of the grant money, which will be used to cover any transportation, lodging, conference fees and possible food voucher costs. Each grant awarded, and the amount that will be covered, will be determined on an individual basis depending on the conference type, distance and funding. Student organizations may apply to receive grant money during the fall and spring semesters.

What if I am trying to use Market Day for a non-profit organziation?
It is possible to have your $35 fee waived if you are a non-profit or charitable organization. Groups like the Girl Scouts fall under this category. This is done on a case-by-case basis. If your group qualifies for this fee waiver, you must provide your own table.
