Gary Sipe

Director of Web Services

Gary leads the team that oversees the entire Stetson University web presence. This includes all aspects of the web, such as: governance, infrastructure, development, content, marketing and social media. The university's website has been under Gary's stewardship since 2002 and in that time has it has won multiple web-related awards. One can best describe his approach to the web as both analytical and very progressive.

On a personal note, Gary is a Stetson University alumnus and holds degrees in both computer science and digital arts. He is also an Eagle Scout and is actively involved in improving the local community through volunteer work.


Gerri Bauer

Interactive Marketing Manager

Gerri’s areas of focus are social media and online marketing. She is responsible for quality assurance of the university’s brand reputation online, and works closely with internal clients on the development and implementation of comprehensive email and social-media campaigns.

Gerri studied English and religious studies at Stetson University, and advertising and communications at SUNY-FIT. A former career journalist, she is also an author whose first novel is contracted for publication in 2015.


Joe Sutta

Web Editor

Joe's areas of focus are content management and user experience. As the university's web editor he's responsible for quality assurance for all web content, the development and maintenance of many of the university's online programs, and supporting and training the university's content owners whose jobs are to create the university's web content.

Joe studied computer science at Jacksonville University and has a background in web development, education, journalism and various categories of technology including web development, networking, server administration and virtualization. He is a self-described history and writing buff.


Johnel Woods

Web Developer

Johnel focuses on back-end web development and support. He's responsible for assisting in the research, development and management of many existing and future technologies used by Web Services. He also assists in supporting the university's faculty and staff in need of web-related solutions.

Johnel studied computer science at Tuskegee University and has a background in software configuration management, web development, high-performance computing and project management. He describes himself as a problem solver.
