Peggy Fox

Director of University Events

Peggy began her work in the events office seven years ago, and was named Director of University Events in June 2010. She currently coordinates over 100 events annually for Development, Admissions and the President's Office. In recent years Peggy has added large campus events such as the Commencement Celebration to her portfolio. She finds working in collaboration with other departments to be the most fun and rewarding aspect of her job. One of her proudest accomplishments has been to serve as the chairperson of Stetson University's 125th Anniversary Celebration. She was recently recognized as part of the planning team for the CASE III Special Projects award given for the Inauguration of President Wendy B. Libby.

Peggy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Florida Southern College; and has a strong background in guest relations, event planning, project management, and program development. She is active in several organizations in the community, and serves as a board member for Girls on the Run of Volusia County.

April Atkinson

Assistant Director of University Events

April joined the events office in August of 2008 and was named the Assistant Director of University Events in 2010. Throughout her three years at Stetson she has expanded her knowledge of event planning and taken on several events from start to finish, such as the Board of Trustees Dinner and the Silver Circle Recognition Dinner. She assists the Director of University Events in coordinating Commencement and other large events across campus.

With a Bachelor's Degree in Theater from the University of Central Florida, April brings creative insight and enthusiasm for the overall look and presentation of events. With a strong background in customer service, she prides herself on the relationships she has cultivated with community members, colleagues and outside event professionals. When away from Stetson she is a survivor advocate for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Central Florida.
