L. Patrick Lane
Countryside Lakes Assisted Living Facility
Patrick Lane is president of the CountrySide Lakes Assisted Living community in Port Orange, Florida. Lane and his family have owned and operated health care related businesses and retirement communities in Central Florida for more than 40 years. Prior to his current position at CountrySide Lakes, Lane held the position of Vice President of Coordinated Care, the Lane family management group, which oversaw the operations and development/acquisitions of seven health care facilities before their sale in 1995. Lane has been active in the community since the 1980’s. He served two terms as president for the DeBary Chamber of Commerce, and currently serves as chair of the Volusia County Personnel Board, a position he has held for over 20 years.
The Lane-Snowden family (Snowden being his mother’s maiden name) has been associated with Stetson since the 1930s, with 15 family members having attended or graduated from Stetson. Lane is an alumnus of the Stetson School of Music, where he studied trombone under Donald Yaxley. His grandfather, R. Grady Snowden, served as Stetson’s Chaplain during the 1950s when Fred and Patricia Lane, Patrick’s parents, first met on campus as students. He is the proud father of three children; two of whom are Stetson grads and who also met their spouses at Stetson.
Lane has served as chair of the School of Music Board of Advisors, and he was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2007.
