The Lane family has owned nursing homes in the Central Florida area for many years. Mr. Lane is a member of another generation of family members who are active in these businesses. The Lane and Snowden (his mother's family) families have been associated with Stetson University since the 1930s. Mr. Lane and his wife, Danette, are parents of Jessie '03, son-in-law Eliot Fay '01, Dan Lane '09, daughter-in-law, Jessica '09, and Aubrey Lane, a rogue UCF student. Mr. Lane has served as chair of the School of Music Board of Advisors, and was elected to the Board of Trustees in September 2007.
