Emerson L. Brumback

Emerson Brumback retired as President and Chief Operating Officer and Board Director of M&T Bank in 2007 after 10 years of service. He had a 30-year career in banking, which included the position of Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank One Cincinnati.
He is a 1973 graduate of Northern Kentucky University, and the Consumer Bankers Association Graduate School of Banking, University of Virginia. He served as Chairman of the Consumer Banker Association in 2005, and he is a former Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York - Buffalo Branch, serving from 2002 to 2006. Mr. Brumback is a current Director of Fifth Third Bank Corporation, and is the Vice Chairman of the Board of the Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation, as well as Director Emeritus of Northern Kentucky University Foundation Board.
His son and daughter-in-law, Ryan '03 and Courtnay Paiva '02 Brumback, are both graduates of Stetson's School of Business Administration. Brumback was elected to Stetson's Board of Trustees in September 2008 and currently serves as chair of the Audit Committee.
