Why be registered?


Recognition has its privileges.

 

The Office of Student Involvement requires the following from each student organization in order to retain recognition.

  • Must have 3 currently enrolled student members
  • Must have a faculty or staff advisor that is a full-time employee with Stetson University
  • Must have updated organization constitution on file with OSI
  • Must update officers as listed on OrgSync (as often as they change with a once-a-year-minimum)
  • Must complete student leadership assignment each semester
  • Must follow all student organization policies and procedures
  • Must register all events through OrgSync

 

The following are university resources available to you as a Registered Student Organization with the Office of Student Involvement:

Want to have your voice heard?

  • Can participate in Fall and Spring Organization Fairs where you can promote your group

  • Access to OrgSync where you can recruit and communicate with members
  • Granted seat on the SGA Senate
  • Free organizational e-mail address and web site
  • Organizational web-site may be linked off of the Department of Student Involvement web-page
  • Opportunity to participate, as a group, in Greenfeather, Homecoming and other University-sponsored events


Want to have an event on campus?

  • Ability to reserve space on-campus

 

  • Ability to reserve free SWAT sound and lighting equipment

 

  • Ability to rent free tables and chairs (when available)

 

  • Ability to get approval to publicize on-campus including Stetson Today's

 

  • Opportunity to apply for SAFAC funding through SGA


Need help or support for your group?

  • Access to other resources provided by university departments and offices

 

  • Access to the Student Organization Resource Room and Leadership Library

 

  • One on one advising sessions available with Involvement Ambassadors

 

  • Access to free trainings on training new officers and working with advisors

  • Privilege to establish dues and sponsor fund-raising projects that follow guidelines of Office of Student Involvement and Stetson University.
