Arti Bagga

Assistant Director of First Year and Transition Programs

Arti Bagga serves as the Assistant Director of First Year and Transition Programs. She is new to the staff joining in June 2012, but has worked specifically with Orientation and First-Year Programming since 2008 at the University of Central Florida (UCF). She holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology a Master's degree in Higher Education Administration as well as a certificate in Leadership Studies, all from UCF. She enjoys volunteering, spending time with her friends, and continuing to stay involved with her professional organizations NASPA and her sorority Chi Omega. She is excited to be a new Hatter and to be involved with FOCUS! 


Sarah Merriman

Undergraduate Intern for First Year and Transition Programs

Sarah Merriman is a senior Communication & Media Studies major. Sarah has been an intern with Student success for 3 years, working specifically with First Year & Transition programs. As both the undergraduate intern and the Coordinator of the FOCUS Orientation program, she has helped plan and facilitate programs for students such as Family Weekend, First Year Fiesta, GPA Recognition programs, and FOCUS events. On campus Sarah is involved with Pi Beta Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa leadership society, The Reporter, and the National Organization for Women (NOW). After graduation she plans to attend graduate school and pursue a degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs.
