What is Summer Bridge Day?
As an incoming first generation college student, you—and your family—might have a lot of questions about how Stetson works and what it will be like to start in the fall:
What are all these acronymns--FSEM, FOCUS, FAFSA?
What if I don't like my roommate?
How do I get involved when I'm a commuter?
Where do I go if I need help?
The SU First Summer Bridge Day is designed to answer these questions and introduce you and your family to all the resources available to first generation Hatters. We want to promote your success at Stetson and beyond.
You and your family are invited to join us on Saturday July 20th for the third annual SU First Summer Bridge Day. During the day you will:
- Meet the SU First peer mentors and learn about peer mentoring
- Hear from Stetson faculty and Campus Life and Student Success staff about Hatter life, in and out of the classroom
- Ask the student panel all your questions about being a Hatter
- Learn the nuts and bolts of Stetson Financial Aid
- Meet other students and make new friends before the semester even starts
- And much more!
