Susan Makinson

Part-Time Counselor

Susan Makinson, MSW, LCSW joined Stetson University in September 2016. She is trained as a licensed clinical social worker with additional training in mindfulness/meditation, DBT, and EMDR. Susan operates from a systems theory background and integrates a relational approach, with elements of mindfulness, biofeedback, and CBT. Susan enjoys working with clients who struggle with depression and anxiety. She also enjoys addressing these issues and other mental health concerns at a community level through outreach programs.
