Clarion Hotel
With enrollment growth and high demand for housing, the university has decided to place students in the Clarion Hotel on International Speedway Boulevard. Housing and Residential Life staff, Facilities Management and Public Safety have made many changes and commitments in our agreement with the hotel so that we are providing students with a blend of the extra amenities that a hotel can offer as well as work hard to have this feel like a traditional residence hall (with staffing, programming, community space, laundry and more).
Resident Rooms
The two-person suite rooms feature comfortable queen size beds and an in-room bathroom.
On-Site Staff
The Clarion Hotel will have multiple resident assistants (R.A.'s) living on-site. R.A.'s help students by providing opportunities to develop deep and meaningful relationships not just with their roommate, but with members of the entire building.

Transportation and Parking
Students staying at the hotel will have a shuttle available; planned trips during class days/hours and on weekends on a more limited schedule. A full schedule will be provided to residents on move-in day. Know that the main campus is just 1.5 miles away, so students can also drive or ride a bike to/from campus.
Laundry
Laundry facilities are available on the floor at no additional cost as with on-site residence halls. The hotel also offers a laundry service, for which students would need to pay the hotel directly.
Safety
As with any location at which the university houses its students, safety and security are of the utmost concern. This location has a blend of trained on-site R.A. staff with trained, 24-hour on-call professional staff, Public Safety, and a well-established relationship with the DeLand Police Department ready to help handle any crises that may occur. The hotel offers safety features including indoor-only access to rooms, well-list corridors and 24-hour on-site staff.
Location
The hotel is located at 350 East International Speedway Boulevard in DeLand, Fla. Students will receive mail at their on-campus box. The check-in process for students who will be housed at the Clarion will be identical to that of students housed in on-campus housing; further details on the check-in process can be found on the Fall Move-In Information page.
About the Clarion
Built in 1985 with renovations completed in 2000 (with further renovations to be planned this year), the Clarion Hotel in DeLand has served as a hotel to incoming families of Stetson University students for years. The hotel has 24-hour on-site staff, plenty of parking for residents and guests, and plans to update the full-service restaurant and pool area this year.
