Parking Regulations
Vehicle
Parking regulations are established to eliminate confusion and hazards, reduce traffic congestion, and provide students, faculty, and staff reasonable access to campus buildings and to provide a safe effective and efficient traffic and parking program for the University community.
Bicycles
Parking or storage of bicycles in areas of public access, exits, stairwells, hallways, porches, and lounges, is strictly prohibited due to fire safety regulations. Bicycles are not to be taken inside buildings. Bicycle racks and storage lockers are available in exterior locations. Bicycles parked or stored in violation of the above, unregistered bicycles, unlocked bicycles, and abandoned bicycles will be impounded. Bicycles may not remain on campus during summer break.
General Regulations
The person to whom a vehicle is registered is held fully responsible for any violation involving the vehicle, even if another person was using the vehicle at the time of the violation. It is the responsibility of the registrant to, explain the rules to anyone who may be operating his/her vehicle on campus.
Repeated violations of the parking and traffic regulations may result in appropriate judicial action, including, but not necessarily limited to, revocation of driving privileges on University property.
Lack of familiarity with the traffic/parking regulations does not constitute a defense for failure to comply with any of the regulations.
Parking permits are non-transferable from one individual to another or from one vehicle to another.
All parking and traffic fines must be paid to the Office of Student Accounts prior to the release of school records, diplomas, certificates, or before a student can register for classes or activate pre-registration schedules.
