Charitable Remainder Trusts

Charitable remainder trusts are usually established with a minimum of $200,000 by individuals who are at least 50 years of age.

Often known as the “gift that gives back”, charitable trusts provide the donor or their designee with payments during their lifetime. At the passing of the beneficiary, the trust residuum will come to Stetson to be used according to the donor’s wishes.

A Charitable Remainder Trust provides a significant way to support the mission and vision of the university. There are several different types of charitable trusts highlighted in this section.
