Securing Stetson's Future

Kate PearceCreating an estate plan is a careful, thoughtful process. Information on our site may help you with the charitable aspects of estate planning. Feel free to contact us with questions or for more information.

Charitable estate planning can help you:

  • Plan for the financial security for your family and friends
  • Provide for charitable organizations, such as Stetson University, that have meant the most to you during your lifetime
  • Leave a personal legacy that incorporates your values and beliefs
  • Be "tax-wise"

If you have informed us that Stetson is included in your estate plan, thank you. Your gift is an investment in future Stetson students, and will be used to assist the university in preparing them to lead great lives.

If you have provided for the university in your estate plan but have not informed us, please notify the Office of Gift Planning. We would be pleased to welcome you into the Stetson Society! This is the university's way of showing appreciation to people who help secure its financial future. Learn more about the Stetson Society here. All information given to us about your estate plan is kept strictly confidential.

Sharing information about your estate plan provision benefiting the university adds to Stetson's Planned Giving Inventory (PGI). As the Board of Trustees, administration and faculty look to the future, the PGI is an important indicator of the future support.

Estate gifts provide countless opportunities for you to support Stetson, regardless of the amount. Gifts can be unrestricted or designated for a specific department or program at the DeLand campus or the College of Law.

You CAN make a difference in the future of Stetson University and its students!

Thank you,

Kate Pearce
