Why do we have a standardized university image program?

Stetson University has adopted an University Image Program to: Give a professional, consistent look of quality to our publications; Standardize our market image in the same way that other successful universities have; Protect the integrity of the university's graphic image through our wordmark.

There are five basic elements you can use to create a quality graphic representation that fits Stetson's university image program. They are: the WORDMARK; the GRID, which is a system to help you put the graphic elements on a page; the university COLORS; the TYPEFACES ; and the PAPER stock.

One of the main goals of the program is to create a "family" of publications. A new student, an alum, or a visitor to campus should be able to tell, by the appearance and quality ofthe publication, that it comes from Stetson University. The standards were developed to give flexibility while maintaining that "family" look. The elements were designed with non-designers in mind, to produce simple or more complex layouts.

The University Image Program is being used extensively throughout the university. It is versatile and adaptable. It creates strong corporate messages for our audiences by bonding each department's image to the identity of the university, making both stronger.
