All residence hall rooms are equipped with a cable TV connection. All you will need is a cable-ready TV and a standard coaxial cable to connect the TV to the wall outlet.
There are a few common issues that may prevent you from getting good reception or the full channel line-up. The most common issues can all be resolved by using the "auto setup" menu on your TV.

What if I want more channels?
Students living on campus have the option of leasing a digital cable box from Brighthouse Networks, the local cable provider. Those leasing a cable box will enter into an agreement directly with Brighthouse and the relationship will be solely between the student and Brighthouse.
All monthly fees will be billed directly to the resident by Brighthouse, and each student is responsible for paying Brighthouse directly. Neither the charge nor the payment will be done through your student account. When you pick up the cable box from the Brighthouse office, a $100 refundable deposit will be collected by Brighthouse. This secondary service is not affiliated with the university. Therefore, any technical support and billing issues need to be addressed directly with Brighthouse.
