 What to Expect During Recruitment

Friday, September 14 - Cokes Round

Please arrive at the Gazebo at 3:00pm!

You will visit all 5 chapters during this round and the party will last 30 minutes. These parties have a meet and greet setting, where you can learn general information about the chapter. We suggest that you wear casual attire, like a sundress or casual slacks. At the end of Cokes Round, you will go with your Rho Gamma to the computer lab to select up to 4 chapters to return to for the next day.

Saturday, September 15 - Invites Round

Please arrive at the Gazebo at 8:30am!

You will meet your Rho Gamma 30 minutes before all parties start this day. She will inform you of which chapters you are visiting during this round and at what time you have a party to attend. You will visit up to 4 chapters during this round and each party will last 45 minutes. This round of parties focuses on chapters' philanthropies, which are the causes and organizations they raise money for as well as the organizations they do community service for. We suggest that you wear business casual attire, clothing that is nicer than what you wore to Cokes, but not as nice as business professional. After you have visited all your chapters, you will head to the computer lab to select up to 2 chapters to return to for the next day.

Sunday, September 16 - Prefs Round

Please arrive at the Gazebo at 8:30am!

You will meet your Rho Gamma 30 minutes before all parties start this day. She will inform you of which chapters you are visiting during this final round and at what time you have a party to attend. You will visit up to 2 chapters during this round and each party will last 60 minutes. This round is called Prefs because it is the round where you visit chapters that you prefer to join. The parties will focus on sisterhood and traditions. Recommended attire is business professional or an outfit appropriate for a reception. Once parties start on this day until bid card signing, there is strict silence among all women participating in Recruitment, including PNMs. This is the time to internally reflect on what you have experienced during Recruitment and how you are feeling about which chapter you would like to join. Once you have attended all your parties, you will go to the computer lab to sign your bid card. Members of Panhellenic and the Office of Student Involvement will be present to help you understand the bid card and to help you make your decision. Once you've signed your bid card, you'll be able to return to your residence and get ready for Bid Day!

Sunday, September 16 - BID DAY

Please arrive at Lee Chapel at 6:00pm!

It's finally here, you're going to join your chapter and meet all your new sisters! Please come to the Lee Chapel in Elizabeth Hall wearing all white (either a dress, skirt, or pants). Your Rho Gamma will give you your bid card and then its off to meet your new sisters! Once all PNMs have joined their chapters, the Rho Gammas will come outside to reveal and rejoin their chapters. We will take a few All-Greek photos and then your journey as a Stetson Greek woman begins!

What's a Rho Gamma?

The Greek Letters PΓ stand for "recruitment guide," meaning that a Rho Gamma is a sorority woman who has disaffiliated from her chapter to serve as an objective guide for all women going through recruitment. They are trained to answer any and all questions, so be sure to ask them about anything! Every woman registered for recruitment is assigned a Rho Gamma and will go to her throughout the recruitment process.

Check back in a few weeks to see the group of amazing women serving as Rho Gammas for Fall 2012 Recruitment!

If you have any questions about Rho Gammas or want to know who your Rho Gamma is, contact Megan Sharpe at msharpe@stetson.edu
