Stetson University Values Fellowships

Environmental Sustainability Fellowship

The Values Fellowships are designed to enhance the way Stetson lives our values and to assist in recruiting and retaining the best-fit students for Stetson. The Environmental Sustainability Fellow will work with a faculty mentor to develop a more cognizant and purposeful Stetson community focused on social, economic and environmental practices. One new Fellow will be selected from each incoming class, and each Fellow will be provided up to $3,000 in annual student employment. 

Potential fellowship recipients must meet the following qualifications:

  • First-year student with a 3.5 high school GPA
  • Enrolled for a full-time course load
  • Committed to 10 hours of work per week with a faculty/staff mentor in the Environmental Science department
  • Displays leadership potential

In order to apply you must also submit a letter of recommendation from a person familiar with your initiative and self-direction relevant to this fellowship program.

Students must complete the FAFSA in order to apply. Students must also submit an essay of no more than 1000 words discussing how they can contribute to the university in Environmental Sustainability.

The application is due December 1.

To apply for this fellowship, you must first apply to Stetson University via our Early Decision (November 1) or Early Action (November 15) decision plan.
