Environmental Responsibility is one of Stetson University's core values.
The university has committed itself to incorporating principles of sustainable living
on campus. The goal is to function, as a university, in ways that will not compromise

Environmental Responsibility Council The mission of the Stetson University ERC is to promote environmental responsibility throughout the institution, including its curricula and policies. |

Native Plant Initiative Stetson University has a policy of using only Florida native plants in campus landscaping, to help foster a healthy and sustainable environment. |

Recycling The goal of Stetson's recycling program is simple: to divert as much material from the landfill as possible. The university has a vibrant, campuswide program. |

Environmental Science The Environmental Science major is a multidisciplinary program that offers both B.A. and B.S. fields of study, as well as a minor. |

Biology The Stetson Biology Department offers majors in Biology, Aquatic and Marine Biology, Medical Technology and Molecular Biology. |

AIR The Alliance for International Reforestation, headquartered at Stetson, plants trees and teaches sustainable farming practices in Guatemala. |

Gillespie Museum The Gillespie Museum promotes the study, appreciation and understanding of the natural sciences through school and community outreach programs. |
