Stetson University Diversity Council

  The Diversity Council seeks to bring about an inclusive community--a place where all paths are explored, where social responsibility is emphasized, and where groups work collaboratively rather than competitively. We work to foster change by recognizing the points of difference we have as a result of racial/ethnic background, gender, sexual orientation and religious heritage, among other factors. We celebrate our points of intersection. And we encourage a celebration of the points of intersection we share as a result of these differences.

   The Diversity Council consists of faculty, staff and students who are committed to the incorporation of the essence and significance of the different backgrounds, perspectives and experiences of people from all walks of life into the culture of the institution. We are an advocacy group that attempts to protect and foster inclusive excellence by means of dialogue and programing.
