Did you know that Stetson University students make up more than 10% of DeLand’s population? Our students are active volunteers, having performed 22,000 hours of community service this past year. Students work on a wide variety of projects--building homes for underprivileged families, beach clean-ups, mentoring local children, and so much more. However, our students are becoming increasingly affected by the high cost of private higher education. Over 96% of students receive financial aid, and during the 2005-06 academic year, Stetson awarded over $22.5 million in scholarships.
