Endowed Gifts

Many alumni and friends have established or contributed to funds in honor of family members, friends, and unforgettable professors. These funds can be established with a single gift or with several gifts made over a period of up to three years.

Endowed funds:

  • create a permanent, meaningful legacy for their namesakes
  • are the cornerstone of financial stability for Stetson University

Our corporate and foundation partners also provide important support through endowed funds for scholarships or programs that align with their organizations' missions and values.

The University consolidates endowment gifts and invests the assets as a pro-rata share of the University's endowment. The principal of endowed funds is kept intact; awards are made at the trustee-approved amount from the investment earnings.

Once a fund is established, additional gifts in any amount may be added to it. As the fund balance grows, the amount of monetary support it provides also increases.
