Linda joined Stetson’s University Relations division in 1978 in the Alumni Office and was subsequently promoted to the positions of Director of University Advancement, Director of Development, and Associate Vice President of Planned Giving. She has served as the University’s chief advancement officer since 2002, overseeing the offices of Alumni Relations, Development, Planned Giving, and Public Relations and Communications. Linda holds a Bachelor’s degree from Stetson and a Master’s degree in institutional advancement from Vanderbilt University. Her husband and parents are also Stetson alumni.

Susan has served Stetson University since 1990, holding several positions of increasing responsibility prior to her appointment in 2006 to Associate Vice President for University Relations. She has served as Stetson’s Director of Scholarship Gifts and Major Gifts and as Campaign Events Coordinator during the university’s $200 Million Campaign. This was followed by a three-year stint as Executive Director of Alumni Relations, and two years as Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations. She holds a B.S. degree from Florida State University.

Kate graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison with a degree in communications. After working for 10 years as a travel agent, she joined the Stetson staff in 1990. Kate initially worked in the Development Services area, the office responsible for record keeping, gift processing, and reporting. She was then in research, and, in 1999, joined the staff of the Office of Planned Giving. In 2004, she was named director of that Office, and in 2007 was given the title of Director of Annual and Planned Giving.
The Office of Annual Giving
The Annual Giving Office is responsible for meeting the University goals of increasing alumni gift participation, increasing donor relations, and increasing dollars generated for the immediate needs of the University through the Annual Fund. The Annual Giving fiscal year is June 1-May 31 and it is important to remember that every gift makes a difference!

Jana graduated from Stetson University in 2001, with a Bachelors degree in English and a minor in Business Management. She holds certificates in Human Resources and Management from Rollins College. After working as a District Sales Manager in South Florida, Jana returned to work for her Alma Mater. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree at Stetson.

Kaitlin graduated with a Bachelors degree in English from Stetson University in 2004. She is currently working on her Masters degree in English at Stetson, while also leading the Office of Stewardship. She uses her experience in legal and creative writing, and her passion for literature and poetry, to tell donors how their gifts are being used at Stetson University. She and her husband live in the DeLand area.

The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations seeks financial support from corporations and foundations for University scholarships and other fundraising efforts and assists faculty, staff, and students seeking external funding for research, professional development, program and curriculum development, or special projects.

Janet attended Stetson University for two years, then finished her degree at the University of Florida, where she earned her Master's in Mass Communication. Janet started her career as a news reporter and anchor, but pursued a career in grant writing which landed her a position as Grants Development Coordinator at Daytona Beach Community College. She currently serves as the Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, where she researches grant opportunities with public agencies and private corporations and foundations.

A lifelong DeLand resident, Aja West “grew up” at Stetson University and spent many years attending music lessons, summer camps, and academic programs on campus. In her current position as Corporate and Foundation Relations Coordinator, Aja is responsible for corporate and foundation fundraising for University priorities, grant writing and reporting, and the corporate matching gifts program. Aja holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from the University of Florida.
Stetson’s Office of Planned Giving assists individuals who want to make a difference at the university through their charitable estate plan. Brochures and gift illustrations for Stetson University’s alumni, friends, and professional advisors are available upon request at no charge or obligation.

Tisi attended Maryland University and has over 35 years of customer service experience. She is originally from Washington, D.C. and has worked in many interesting capacities with the Smithsonian Institution, the Naval Air Warfare Center, U.S. House of Representatives, and the banking industry. In 2001, she joined Stetson’s staff as Planned Giving Coordinator helping the University to accomplish its goals and mission.

Development Operations supports University Relations in the achievement of fundraising goals and objectives. Services provided include gift and pledge administration, alumni and donor records management, fundraising reporting and other administrative support.
Paul Gleason '97

Paul graduated from Stetson University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and in 2004 with a Master of Business Administration. Before coming to Stetson, he worked in the field of business consulting with Ernst & Young overseeing the formulation of strategy for mergers and acquisition. He also has extensive experience with the implementation of software solutions such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, and SAP and the development of custom software utilizing Microsoft technologies. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Public Affairs specializing in Public Administration at the University of Central Florida. He has worked in his current capacity at Stetson since January 2004.
