Yolany Gonell, Director
Yolany Gonell serves as the Director of Diversity & Inclusion at Stetson University and has direct oversight of the Cross-Cultural Center, Stetson C.A.R.E.S (Committed to Achievement & Retention in Education) First Generation Program, Safe Zone, and the Multicultural Student Council. Yolany has over 8 years of progressive administration experience in higher education providing services and support that emphasize student centered learning and diversity education; experience developing partnerships with multiple community agencies; and has been instrumental in the coordination of multiple large scale events around social justice and intersections of identities. Yolany holds a Masters in Social Work from the University at Buffalo in New York and is committed to social justice and empowering youth.
Ambreshia Landrum, Student Worker
Ambreshia Landrum is a Junior at Stetson and is a student worker at the Cross Cultural Center. Her major is Social Sciences and she has a double minor in Africana Studies and History. Along with her extensive curriculum she is also very involved in campus life and student organizations. She is the President of the Black Student Association; she is also a Stetson University First Generation Peer Mentor.
Ashley Baksh, Student Worker
Ashley Baksh is a student worker for the Cross Cultural Center. She has been at Stetson for three years and is expected to graduate in the spring of 2015. She is a Family Business major and a prominent member of Caribbean Student Organization.
Bria Parrish, Student Worker
Bria is currently a Junior at Stetson University. She is currently in ROTC. As a student worker Bria is responsible for reaching out to the Multicultural Student organizations and serving as a liasion between the student groups and the Multicultural Student Council. She helps with program coordination, announcments, and assessment.
Keshia Blair, Student Worker
Keshia Blair is a junior at Stetson University and is a Student Worker at the Cross-Cultural Center. Keshia is a Humanities major and a double minor in Africana Studies and Religious Studies. In her free time she is the Multicultural Student Council Representative for the Black Student Organization as well as the Marketing Exec for the Black Student Organization. Keshia is expected to graduate in the spring of 2015.
Caden Krawchuk, Student Intern
Caden Krawchuk is a first year student at Stetson University. He is one of the student Intern’s at the Cross Cultural Center. As well as being an active member of Kaleidoscope he is also busy with his academic life on campus. Caden is a Sports Business major with a Political Science minor. Caden is expected to graduate in the spring of 2017.
Francina Elien, Student Intern
Francina L. Elien, also known as Cina is a student Intern at the Cross-Cultural Center. She is a sophomore at Stetson University and is expected to graduate in the spring of 2016. Francina is a Psychology major and a double minor in Sociology and Education. She is also the Secretary of the Black Student Association on campus, a 2013-2014 Residential Assistant (RA), and a participant in the Club Volleyball team on campus.
Melissa Doreus, Multicultural Student Council Chair/ Student Worker
Melissa Doreus is a senior at Stetson and will be graduating in the spring of 2013. She is the Chair of the Multicultural Student Council and a Cross-Cultural Center student worker. Melissa is also a Health and Wellness Intern, and also a Tobacco Peer Educator. Although Melissa is very busy with Student Success and Campus life, she takes the time out for her own academic success as she is a Humanities major. Melissa in her free time enjoys reading, watching movies, and loving her puppy.
