Multicultural Student Council

The Multicultural Student Council consists of student organizations leaders coming together to share culture and work towards shared culture and work towards shared experiential learning.

Mission Statement

We are change agents charged to create a safe space for students. We are change agents charged to focus on Multicultural Students. We are change agents responsible for advocating for Multicultural student needs, strengthening individual multicultural student orgs, unifying multicultural groups around common issues- we do this through intentional programming, leadership development workshops, funding collaborative efforts and fostering positive relationships with faculty advisors.

Melissa Doreus

Melissa Doreus is a senior at Stetson and will be graduating in the Spring of 2013. She is the Chair of the Multicultural Student Council and a Cross-Cultural Center student worker. Melissa is also a Health and Wellness Intern, and also a Tabacco Peer Educator. Although Melissa is very busy with Student Success and Campus Life, she take the time out of her own academic success as she is a Humanities major. As Chair of the Multicultural Student Council, she makes it her duty to help the student organizations to do their job as change agents on campus.
