Dr. Kent Portney of Tufts University and author of Taking Sustainable Cities Seriously: Economic Development, the Environment, and Quality of Life in American Cities, will share the implications of his research including how sustainable practices can power economic growth. |

Mr. Michael Hewett Manager of Environmental Services at Publix, will discuss the challenges grocery retailers face as they try to incorporate sustainability into their daily business decisions. Michael will also touch on the growing issue of food insecurity in the United States. |
