Mitzi L. McPeck

Mitzi L. McPeck is the lead instructor for the program. She is a licensed attorney in the State of Michigan, who received her undergraduate and Juris Doctor degrees from Aquinas College and Valparaiso University School of Law, respectively. She has been a professor of legal studies in Florida since 2003. She develops curriculum, enhances syllabi and prepares lesson plans for a variety of legal courses. Her experience includes the private practice of law and that as a senior assistant prosecuting attorney, where she handled a variety of legal matters in all courts as well as researching, writing and arguing appeals before the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court. She is a proven professional with extensive analytical and communication skills who is recognized by peers and students alike.
Shauna Fisher Reeves

Attorney Shauna Fisher Reeves also serves as an instructor for the program. She has an undergraduate degree from Stetson University in DeLand and a Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law. Her schooling included accolades and honors. Reeves has been a member of The Florida Bar since 1996, and her experiences include serving with a local Orlando law firm specializing in the areas of insurance defense, worker's compensation and medical malpractice defense; practicing as an assistant district attorney prosecuting felony cases; teaching a basic litigation seminar for new lawyers with Georgia's Prosecuting Attorney Council; and also instructing continuing education courses for lawyers and for law enforcement personnel. Her personal references include circuit court judges, district attorneys and the partner of a major Orlando law firm.
