Central Florida Chapter of ALA
Chartered in 1977, the diverse membership of the Central Florida Chapter of the ALA represents private and corporate entities ranging in size from solo practitioners to large, international firms. The CFC ALA hosts educational seminars during the year to provide networking opportunities. Perhaps one of the most important functions of the chapter is in providing a forum for members to foster friendships and to harness our collective talents and abilities in support of the legal community and the community at large.
See the CFC ALA website for more information.
Stetson University uses the NALS materials as the foundation for its Lawyer's Assistant Program. The university has amplified the material with additional review questions, vignettes and relevant anecdotes to bring the text material to life. Stetson University uses experienced lawyers to deliver the course, so their real world experiences can help students to relate to the topics discussed in the course of the program. Built into the course is a sub-course on written communications based on the Gregg Reference Manual, one of the most authoritative and comprehensive texts on written communication; Gregg is considered the authority on style, grammar, usage and formatting.
