Campus Life and Student Success

Fall 2014 Programming

The programs outlined below are valuable ways to engage with professionals from business, industry, government and non-profit organizations to gain knowledge and guide your career decision-making. Please email career@stetson.edu or call 386-822-7315 if you anticipate any barriers to your access, participation, transportation to or inclusion in these events.

Employer Office Hours

Throughout the academic year, visiting professionals hold office hours on campus in several academic departments. Through individual meetings with a visiting professional, participating students have the opportunity to learn more about a profession, receive career-related advice and reflect on the ways in which their liberal arts education can prepare them for lives of significance after Stetson University.

Employer Site Visits

Join staff from the Office of Career Development and Academic Advising and travel to a local company/organization to learn more about the organization and its fit with your academic and career interests. The two-hour visits will provide an opportunity to gather general knowledge about the specific company/organization and the opportunity to interact and network with staff. Additional information will be made available once dates and locations are secured.

Each partner who attends will have a table at the fair and students will be able to speak to them as they walk through. For community partners, this is a great way to initially contact students to engage them in serving the community.
