Deep Sea Fishing Sept. 17, 2011
We will meet in Daytona for a full day of deep sea fishing.
Estimated Cost: $60 but could be discounted even more!
White Water Rafting with Community Engagement Oct. 13-16, 2011
We will be traveling to Tennessee to go white water rafting! The trip includes 3 nights 4 days of stay with meals, white water rafting, high adventure ropes course, either horseback riding, mountain biking, or paintball (depending on what the group prefers), and service work in the local community. The best news is that the travel expenses are already paid for!
Estimated Cost: $190 (deposit of $76 due on 9/13, remainder due 9/27)
Scuba Certification Class TBA
SOAR will be hosting a Scuba Certification class at the Hollis Wellness Center! There will be two opportunities to take the class in the semester. Each session is 5 weeks long meeting once a week for 3 hours. You will meet in the classroom 2-3 times and meet for pool time 2 times, at the end of the program you will be taken out to a dive site to test your skills!
Certification includes:
Open water diving manual
Personal log book
Photo for C Card
Certification card upon completion of course
Rental Equipment BCD, REGS, AIR, Wetsuit
We are still working out the details but the estimated cost is $130
Kayaking/Canoeing Nov. 12, 2011
We will be meeting at one of the local springs/rivers for a full day of kayaking/canoeing. More information about this event will come out soon!
