Wiffle Ball Rules

Standard Baseball Rules, except the changes below.
1) Teams will consist of 7 players, with up to 3 extra hitters. Any 7 players in the batting order can play in the field at any time. All players in the batting order must bat in order, except if a player must be removed for serious injury or emergency situation (must be approved by the supervisor).
2) Games will be 7 innings of 40 mins (no new inning after the 40 mins are up can start).
3) Mercy Rule: 15 run after 4 innings, 10 after 5 innings.
4) All foul balls and foul tips will count as a strike. You may strike out on a foul if it is the 3rd strike.
5) Fair and Foul balls: If a ball hits the rafters inside the fair lines the ball will be considered fair. If the ball hits the rafters in foul territory it will be a foul ball.
6) A batted ball hitting the ceiling or anything attached to the ceiling is in play. If caught before hitting a wall or the floor the batter is out.
7) The strike zone will be a defined zone.
8) Outs: While not on a base a player may be hit with the ball below the neck or be tagged.
9 ) Pitcher: The pitchers foot must remain in contact with the rubber during the pitch.
10) No base stealing. Runners can not leave the base until the ball is hit.
11) Scoring: There will be a force out at home plate. Base runners must touch home plate before being tagged or hit with the ball or the defense touches home plate while in possession of the ball. If the runner passes half way to home he may not return to third base.

13) No gloves may be worn.
14) Campus Rec. will provide the equipment.
