Inclusive Excellence

Diversity and Inclusion

Cross Cultural Center

Serving as the home of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, the Cross Cultural Center, or Tri-C, is a safe space open to all Stetson students, faculty and staff.

Multicultural Student Council

The Multicultural Student Council consists of student organization leaders coming together to share culture and work towards shared experiential learning.

First Generation Resources

Transitioning from high school to college is always hard. But it's even harder if you're the first in your family to make that transition. With that in mind, Stetson University has made resources available to our first generation students to help them ease into life as a Hatter and enjoy all that college has to offer.

Safe Zone

Sponsored by the Cross Cultural Center, the Safe Zone program is designed to improve visibility and support of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex and asexual (LGBTQIA+) students and employees.

Religious and Spiritual Life

Chaplains

The Office of the Chaplain, staffed by three chaplains of different faith traditions, helps the Stetson University community develop and maintain the religious and spiritual dimensions of life. Services offered by the chaplains include support during emergencies or hospitalization, spiritual guidance and assistance finding a nearby religious community of your tradition.

Interfaith Initiatives

A new program at Stetson University, Interfaith Initiatives grew out of a community-wide commitment to the university's values—intellectual development, personal growth and global citizenship.

Equity at Stetson

Since the 2014-2019 Strategic Plan, Stetson University has been striving to "Be a Diverse Community of Inclusive Excellence." It has been a foundational priority, even as the university transitioned recently to its Roll Ahead Goals. This priority represents a holistic commitment to further develop a pervasive and sustainable learning and working community that not only includes individuals from a wide array of backgrounds but also proactively values and empowers them. As we act upon the strategic plan, the values of diversity and inclusive excellence should influence every initiative. See the current work underway as part of the Campus Climate Survey Report 2020.
