Britt McHenry graduated from Stetson University in December 2008. She currently works as a sports anchor and reporter for ABC-7/WJLA-TV and NewsChannel 8 in Washington, D.C. She started her career in Washington as a community reporter for NewsChannel 8, where she also anchored weekend morning shows.
While at Stetson University, Britt majored in English and graduated magna cum laude. She chose Stetson University for its strong academics and competitive women's soccer team. Education was always a top priority for Britt. T. Wayne Bailey, Ph.D., was one of Britt's political science professors, and, seeing her potential, he selected her for the Washington Semester Program at American University. That is where Britt became interested in journalism, interning for ABC Network News.
After graduating early from Stetson University, Britt earned her master's degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. She has covered national sporting events, including Super Bowl XLII and the 2008 men's NCAA tournament in 2008.
