An application is considered complete when the following credentials have been submitted :
APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION. Please type or print in ink for all mail-in applications. Stetson University also encourages the use of our online application, the Common Application, or College Link. No form is more preferred than any other.
APPLICATION FEE. A $40 fee must accompany all applications for admission. This fee is nonrefundable. Checks should be made payable to Stetson University. If you wish to pay the fee online, you must first complete our online application. If you cannot pay the fee, you may submit the College Board form Request for Waiver of College Application Fee or the NACAC Request for Waiver of Application Fee. Your high school counselor must use the ATP guidelines distributed by the College Board for the fee waiver.
SCHOOL RECORDS AND RECOMMENDATIONS. Freshman applicants should take a copy of the Secondary School Advisor Evaluation to the proper high school official to be completed and returned to the Office of Admissions.
TRANSCRIPT(S). You must submit your high school transcript. It should contain a class rank and a cumulative grade point average. Well qualified candidates may receive a decision prior to receipt of seventh semester transcripts.
STANDARDIZED TESTING. All applicants for freshman admission are required to take either the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT I) or the American College Test (ACT). Scores should be sent to Stetson University (SAT code 5630 and ACT code 0756). We do not require the SAT II exam.
PERSONAL STATEMENT OR GRADED PAPER. We are very interested in evaluating the quality of your writing. Rather than submitting a traditional "college application essay" please send us a copy of a graded paper (at least 250 words), from your junior or senior year, that you developed for one of your academic classes. Please be sure to put your full name and/or Social Security Number on every page of this paper.
Please return all paper documentation to :
