ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (tenure-track)
FAMILY ENTERPRISE
POSITION:
The School of Business Administration at Stetson University seeks to fill a tenure-track position in Family Enterprise at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. A secondary field within Entrepreneurship, Strategy, or Family Systems is desired. This teacher-scholar-practitioner will become part of the team of faculty who through the Stetson Holistic Model approach, delivers innovative teaching, research, and outreach. We seek an individual of character who can contribute to this effort that positively changes lives, enterprises and communities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have an earned doctorate in management, entrepreneurship, or other related family business field with experience in teaching, research, and working with family enterprises. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to engage in learning both in and out of the classroom, combine interdisciplinary and integrative learning, and foster relationships with various family enterprises (and related firms) for learning partnership and internship opportunities. Relevant industry work experience will be highly regarded.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This faculty member will teach three courses per semester within the family enterprise undergraduate minor and major and share, as appropriate, in first-year and junior seminars responsibilities in areas of interest. Future opportunities may also include graduate courses. Student advising and duties related to the major and minor are jointly shared among faculty members.
In addition to demonstrating the highest quality of teaching, the successful faculty must contribute to the intellectual body of knowledge for the discipline, and to lead our research efforts related to the Successful Trans-generational Entrepreneurship Practices (STEP) program. In the development of leading edge curriculum, research, and outreach, this position will include working with a nationally prominent board of advisors, overseeing the curricular outreach activities, and collaborating with the Director of the Family Enterprise Center in its outreach activities.

The School of Business at Stetson University houses the nation's oldest minor and first major in family enterprise, is an AACSB accredited institution, and is a member of the global STEP Consortium. The Family Enterprise Program is a highly innovative curriculum that seeks continuous improvement, unique partnerships, and an ongoing global status as a leader, especially relative to the next generation in family enterprise.
The Major and Minor are supported by the School's Family Enterprise Center (FEC) which engages with family enterprises and organizations in furthering the interaction and service to family enterprises worldwide. The FEC is a founding partner of the Transitions Conference and is partner with many other international family enterprise organizations and institutions.
The School of Business Administration offers Bachelor degrees and Master degrees in Business Administration (MBA, Executive MBA) as well as both online and on-site Masters in Accountancy (MAcc). The School houses the award-winning Roland George Investments Institute as well as the Prince Entrepreneurship Program and a summer study abroad program in Innsbruck, Austria. Stetson's School of Business Administration is one of only 35 private colleges and universities worldwide with AACSB accreditation at the undergraduate and graduate level in both business and accounting. Florida's first business program, the School has been empowering students to lead in a complex, global business environment since 1897. With programs on four campuses in DeLand, Celebration, Gulfport and Tampa, the School is positioned for continued growth in both its online and physical offerings.

THE COMMUNITY:
DeLand is a picturesque residential community of 25,000 located 20 miles west of Daytona Beach and 35 miles northeast of Orlando. The area offers extensive cultural as well as recreational activities.
