FOR NEW FACULTY AND ADJUNCTS

Note: The information below is targetted at faculty in the College of Arts & Sciences, the School of Business Administration, and the School of Music. New faculty at the College of Law will be provided with similar information from the College of Law.
THINGS TO DO BEFORE ARRIVING:
Make sure your academic file is complete. It must include:
- Application
- Curriculum Vitae
- Official Transcripts
- Reference letters
- Signed appointment agreement
You may confirm the status of your file by contacting Academic Affairs.
Please notify us of any address changes by contacting Academic Affairs.
THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU FIRST ARRIVE ON CAMPUS:
Stop by Human Resources (This should be your first stop.)
HR is located in Elizabeth Hall, room 111 - 386-822-8710
- Complete required employment documents, including I-9 and W-4 forms.
- Must provide required documentation:
- Social Security card is required for all employees
- Identification (example: Social Security card and Driver's License, or Passport)
- Eligibility for employment (for non-US citizens)
HR will assist you with completing any required benefits paperwork. Additionally, HR will provide you with your ID number ("800" number) which you'll need in the other offices on campus.
Obtain Faculty ID from the Hatter Card Office
The Hatter Card office is located in the Commons in Carlton Union Building (CUB) - 386-822-8786
Obtain Faculty/Staff parking sticker from Public Safety
Public Safety is located at the corner of Michigan & Amelia Avenues - 386-822-7300
Obtain Stetson e-mail address from IT (Information Technology)
The IT Helpdesk located in the basement of the Lynn Business Center (LBC) - 386-822-7217 - helpdesk@stetson.edu
- Please advise Academic Affairs of your email address.
- BEGIN CHECKING YOUR STETSON EMAIL - Stetson considers email an official form of communication.
- With your Stetson username/email password, you also have access to the Stetson intranet.
Obtain Access to Physical and Online Resources
Work with your department administrative assistant.

- Blackboard
- Keys for your building and office space
- Textbooks
- Audio-visual equipment and support (Media Services - 386-822-7182)
- Access to campus mail
- Hollis Center - access to pool, exercise rooms, etc.
Order a cap and gown for graduation ceremonies in May (not required for Adjuncts). Academic regalia can be ordered through the Bookstore (386-822-7160). (Note that ordering academic regalia for purchase can take up to 45 days, and rentals need to be ordered with lead time as well; the Bookstore does not keep academic regalia in stock.)
