Information for Prospective and New Faculty

Located in central Florida, Stetson University was founded in DeLand in 1883 and today has two campuses and two satellite centers along the Interstate 4 corridor. The historic main campus in DeLand, located between Orlando and Daytona Beach, houses the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Business Administration and the School of Music. The Stetson University College of Law is located at the Gulfport campus near St. Petersburg and also encompasses the Tampa Law Center in downtown Tampa; finally, the multidisciplinary Stetson University Center at Celebration is located in Celebration, Fla., just outside Orlando.

Stetson University serves a diverse student population of approximately 3,900 students in nationally recognized undergraduate, graduate and professional programs. The university's mission is to provide excellent education in a creative community where learning and values meet, and to foster in our students the qualities of mind and heart that will prepare them to reach their full potential as informed citizens of local communities and the world. The Office of Academic Affairs and its website serve as a resource for all faculty. Dr. Elizabeth "Beth" Paul, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, affirms open communication within the university community as well as with our external colleagues. Accordingly, the Academic Affairs website is constantly evolving. Some of the Academic Affairs web pages are accessible only through the university's intranet. If you cannot find the information you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact the Academic Affairs staff.
