Women and Gender Studies Committee

Membership

This Committee will consist of twelve members of the faculty and five students.

Responsibilities

1. To provide guidance to the director of the University's Academic program (minor) in Women's and Gender study.
2. To support campus conversation on gender; the historical experience of woman and gay, lesbian, and bisexual persons; and contemporary challenges to gender equity and understanding.
3. To sponsor nationally recognized lecturers and provide workshops and special events where members of the Stetson community can engage gender issues.
4. To recognize outstanding student scholarship and leadership on women and gender issues.
