Academic Planning Advisory Committee
Six to eight faculty and staff members from across the schools and colleges and departments appointed by the Provost, in consult with Deans and Faculty Senate Chair. Members serve staggered 2 year terms. The Provost appoints the Chair.
The Academic Planning Advisory Committee serves in an advisory role to the Provost. This strategic brainstorming group is responsible for proactively formulating and recommending goals and initiatives for advancements and innovations in academic program and student learning excellence. Recommendations may include consideration of new programs and changes to or elimination of existing programs. Recommendations may also pertain to advancing an optimal learning environment for students. The Academic Planning Advisory Committee also serves as an incubator to build the capacity of academic leaders for program innovation and leadership.
