Stetson University accepts applications for currently available full-time faculty positions as long as the positions are posted on the Human Resources websites. Please see individual job postings for detailed information on how to apply for an open faculty position.

A doctorate or otherwise terminal degree in the respective (or related) field is preferred; applicants with A.B.D. or masters degrees will be considered. Applicants should have experiencing teaching college-level classes in a liberal arts setting or a demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate students. A review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.

Adjunct Faculty Openings

Stetson University also accepts applications for currently available adjunct faculty positions as posted below. Adjunct faculty may be contracted to teach up to two units (8 credits) per semester. Anthropology

Primary responsibility will be to teach one introductory Cultural Anthropology course on the DeLand campus. Minimum qualification is M.A., M.S., or ABD in Anthropology, with a preference for someone who has already taught Anthropology at the college level. Education

Multiple opportunities are available:

  • Primary responsibility of this position will be to teach a graduate education course, EDUC 543 Instructional Leadership and Supervision, at Stetson University’s DeLand campus during the summer 2015 semester. The specific dates and times for the class are Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. on May 16, 23, 30; June 6, 13. Candidates must have a master’s degree from a regionally accredited university with at least 18 graduate hours in educational leadership.
  • Primary responsibility of this position will be to teach two sections of a graduate education course, EDUC 540 Educational Finance, at Stetson University’s Celebration campus during the fall 2015 semester. The specific dates and times for the first class are Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. on August 15, 22, 29; September 12, and 19. The second class will meet on September 26; October 3, 17, 25, and 31. Candidates must have a master's degree from a regionally accredited university with at least 18 graduate hours in educational leadership.

Minimum qualification is a M.S. in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, or Geology, with a preference for someone who has already taught Environmental Science at the college level. Mathematics

Primary responsibility will be to teach entry-level mathematics courses. Highest demand lies in Finite Mathematics, Business Calculus, and Introductory Statistics. Candidates must have a master's degree with 18 hours of graduate-level mathematics. Graduate-level courses in technical engineering fields qualify.
