Scholarship Grants
Congratulations to the three SU faculty who have received Fulbright Scholar grants to study abroad to teach and conduct research:
- Paul Croce, Professor of History and American Studies, who will serve as a lecturer in American intellectual history at the University of Roma in Italy during the spring of 2013 and as a scholar-in-residence at the University of Potsdam in Germany in June 2013.
- Bill Nylen, Professor of Political Science, awarded a year-long Fulbright research and teaching fellowship in Maputo Mozambique, where he will teach a course on practical methods of participatory democracy and research efforts to implement participatory democratic practices in Mozambique at the Universidade Eduardo Mondlane in Maputo.
- Nathan Wolek, Associate Professor of Digital Arts, who will spend six months in Norway during the fall of 2012, working on significant enhancements and extensions to Jamoma, an open-source software library for computer musicians at the Bergen Center for Electronic Arts.
