Serving as a resource to faculty, the Office of Academic Affairs:

publishes The Newsletter;
maintains the official Academic Calendar;
records and archives minutes of University Faculty meetings;
coordinates faculty recruiting, publicizes faculty job openings, and processes faculty contracts;
compiles and distributes to faculty professional development opportunities;
tracks faculty involvement on University councils and committees; and
maintains official academic files of University faculty in compliance with accreditation requirements.

The Office of Academic Affairs also has fiscal oversight of the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) and coordinates University Commencements, Baccalaureate, Convocation, and Honors Convocation.
